A mural is the perfect marriage of art and architecture. It enhances the architecture of the room it is decorating and delights those who live with it. It opens the room to a rich world of imagery while respecting the framework provided by the architect.
I have been designing and painting murals for 25 years. The design process includes concept drawings, color maquettes and samples, giving the client every opportunity to participate in the evolution of the work. Murals require a collaborative effort between the architect, the client and the mural designer. Over the years I have painted murals for a wide variety of projects and have discovered that with the right design a mural can enhance almost any interior.
My murals are painted on canvas for interiors. They are executed in my studio and installed on site like wallpaper. A variety of protective coatings is used depending on the needs of each location, resulting in a tough, permanent addition to the building that can withstand the wear and tear of normal use.
